Working Stills from films

These are some stills from the different films that i make that were later edited or re-done to create the final films. I wanted them to positioned and lit just right for each of the images and for the different films to work together as well as separately. All that needs to be worked on now is the sound and what im going to have accompanying the films.

Divergence films

Here are 4 stages of the videos that I have been creating for my latest project based on Dementia, the main topic being Divergence. After reading a book about a woman's experiences of suffering with Dementia, there were some phrases that expressed how she felt through having the disease. From this I have tried to visual explore how she expressed feeling through visual metaphors, using a square theme throughout the films to link them together.

Each of the 6 images you can see here are all individual films that have been recaptured under different lights and proportions to find the right combination of images together. These are stills from the final films that I have come to produce, which i feel work well together. However I still need to work out the best way to show them finally. Whether they be individual, all the videos on one screen (like the stills) or all on one screen but being interactive, allowing the audience to pick when to play the films and whether they be together or separate.

Narrative based on Appearance

These are the final 9 images that make up my latest project based on Narrative under the theme of Appearance. The breif was to pick a story, and produce a series of images following a narrative thread that did not relate directly to the story. The original story was The Ugly Ducking, which i tried to get as far away as possible from.

From the 9 images, I had to choose 4 that would represent my final piece.

Dubai Postcards

These are 4 of the final images that were the result of my Visual Explanations brief. They were based on the theme of Propaganda, looking at the idea of postcards and the how they reflect a certain view of a holiday that is not necessarily a true one. Depicting the main monumental structures in Dubai, of which i visited earlier in the year, showing a reflection of the building less attractive side of the country that is not shown in the postcards and brochures relating to Dubai.

Confusion

Originally a paper cut out, looking much better in person as the texture was there to see and you could appreciate the intricacy of the image. This piece of work is also associated with the project I did on Propaganda, representing a ball of string, not knowing where it finishes creating confusion and chaos.

Voodoo Dolls

These images are based on a project I was doing on Propaganda, looking at the idea of control.
